Buying a house is probably the single biggest financial commitment most people make in their lifetime. It is a widely held conviction that an approved mortgage following a Building Society valuation means that there is nothing wrong with the property. IT DOES NOT! A mortgage valuation is an assessment of the property as a security for loan purposes it is not a survey.
